Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much are the courses?
    Courses are priced per session and range from $30 to $50 per session.
  • How long is a session?
    On average, sessions are 1 - 2 hrs, but for special courses such as corporate events, they can be up to 4 hrs.
  • How do I cancel?
    You can cancel your place via the contact page on the site. Please give us as much notice as you can to allow for someone else to fill your place.
  • What equipment do I need? 
    This may vary from course to course, but typically, everything will be provided.
  • Can I bring my own equipment? 
    Certainly. You can bring all your own equipment if you wish. This will not impact the session price.
  • Can I bring my kids?
    Whilst children cannot be present at the actual course, Arapuni Reserve and playpark is literally opposite our house, so your partner could certainly pop across with the kids while you have your art session!
  • What is the format of the courses?
    These will vary somewhat between courses, but generally each session will have around 10 students with the tutor mingling amongst them. Glass or jewellery courses will typically be held in Mandy's workshop or outside weather permitting. Painting courses will be outside usually with Mark splattering paint on an oversized canvas or board centre front.
  • How do I pay?
    To secure your place on a course, you will need to pay once you have made your booking. We prefer that this is done by bank transfer (details will be provided in your booking confirmation email). 
  • Can I pay on the day?
    Yes, but please be aware that places are limited, and places will be allotted on a first come, first served basis. Only by paying in advance  will you secure your place.
  • What happens if my class is cancelled due to bad weather?
    Yes, unfortunately we are somewhat at the mercy of the weather. The plan is to eventually build a gallery venue, but until then, classes are held outdoors. In the event that rain stops play, we can either reschedule your booking for another day with availability, or simply refund any payments that you have made and leave it to you.
  • What age groups do you cater for?
    Unless otherwise specified, the classes are for ages 10 and up.
  • Can I sit down to paint?
    Yes. Please add any special requirements in the note box when booking and we will try to accommodate you.
  • Do you have access for wheelchairs?
    Yes. Although we have not yet had any people in wheelchairs booked, there are no steps, so you should be able to get to the painting area. We can also accommodate seated participants per the FAQ above.
